Twisted Metal TV Show Gets First Full Preview

A preview of the Twisted Metal TV adaptation was shown at Summer Game Fest 2023. The preview featured a stand-off between the show’s protagonist, John Doe, facing off against the franchise’s iconic murder clown, Sweet Tooth. Sisqo’s “Thong Song” also features heavily in the scene. The  Twisted Metal TV series was announced back in February 2021. The show is being produced for Peacock and features Michael Jonathan Smith, Paul Wernick, and Rhett Reese as writers. Will Arnett is an executive producer for the show and will also star as the voice of Sweet Tooth. Anthony Mackie plays John Doe. It’s set to release on July 27, 2023. The show is an adaptation of Sony’s long-running vehicular combat series. It began life on the PS1 in 1995, and the most recent game was the Twisted Metal PS3 game in 2012.
