The story in Falcom’s upcoming Vita and PlayStation 3 title, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Flash, revolves around the growing tension between two powers in the great land of Zemuria.
The first group is centered around aristocracies, known as the ‘Four Noble Families’. Thanks to their tremendous wealth, they can afford to upkeep a local military to protect their own vested interest.
The other group are the reformists. This group centers itself around an authority figure with great political influence, known as the ‘Iron-blooded prime minister’. Using tax collected from the imperial capital and other provinces, he was able to fund an expansion for an army to oppose the nobles.
As time went by, the two forces were never able to come to an agreement, which only caused further conflict within the empire. After a failed arbitration attempt by the emperor himself, the tension between the two groups only continues to grow…
The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Flash is slated to be released in 2013.
