During Nintendo’s keynote speech at LGC they revealed two new titles for the Wii. The first is Mario Strikers Charged designed by Next Level Games. The game starts with players making a team by picking a captain out of 12 Nintendo mascot characters and three sidekick characters. Captains have a special set of skills called Mega Strikes like the iron ball that splits into five balls. If you’re on defense players can point the Wii Remote to target the balls and hit them before they reach the goal. Mario Strikers Charged will have online gameplay through Nintendo WiFi.
