Tomy offered a candid look at their Naruto plans for 2009 in this past issue of Shonen Jump (thanks Ryne11!!). In addition to confirming Naruto Shippuden: Clash of Ninja Revolution 3 (big surprise, right?) the magazine reports it will have Wi-Fi multiplayer matches. This will be the first game in the Clash of Ninja series to have online play.
Players will be able to select over 30 characters and it sounds that number will be a mix of Shippuden stars and classic characters. The game will have an “overhauled combat system”, but retain the tag-team feature introduced in Clash of Ninja Revolution 2. Naruto Shippuden: Clash of Ninja Revolution 3 is slated to come out this fall along with Naruto: Ninja Destiny 2, a localized version of Naruto Shippuden: Shinobi Retsuden 2.
