Ys I & II DS are looking decent from the promotional video Falcom released. I should probably say Ys I is looking decent and Ys II is looking considerably better because these games are being sold individually as full priced Nintendo DS titles!
Ys II looks like the one I’ll purchase since it is considerably more upgraded with wireless play for four people, a time attack mode and touch pen tackles. Comparatively, Ys I feels more like a visual upgrade since it has less features. A field map is a nice touch and seeing Adol use his sword is more logical than seeing him dash face first into monsters, but the additions feel lacking when Interchannel Holon lists the features of each game side by side in the trailer. Hopefully, Ys I will get much more to warrant its price tag.
