J-Stars Victory Vs., Namco Bandai’s upcoming crossover fighting game, recently showed off new characters in Taro Yamada from the manga series Chinyuki, and Jaguar Junichi from Pyu to Fuku! Jaguar. In a more recent update via Dengeki, we get a look at Yusuke Urameshi and Naruto Uzumaki’s transformations.

Jump is known for having characters who can power up in the midst of a heated battle. The above is a look at YuYu Hakusho’s Yusuke Urameshi in his white-haired demon form, and Naruto in his glowing Nine-Tails Chakra Mode.

While details on the transformations are scarce, Dengeki reports that each character will have their own conditions they must meet in order to transform.

The fights in J-Stars Victory Vs. will be set in 2v2 battles, and each team will be able to select one support character.

The support characters can appear in the middle of a fight to activate a “Support Action”; however, once you use it up, you won’t be able to call them out for a while, so knowing when to time your support will be crucial.

We also get a closer look at how Combination Attacks work in J-Stars Victory Vs., which starts out when two players are locked-on to the same target, and hit the “Start Combination Attack” command. Once you perform the command successfully, a “Cross Chain” activates, followed by a “Combination Guide Cursor”.

Once the cursor is up, you’ll be prompted to press the triangle button in timely fashion, which activates a “Cross Break,” followed by a powerful cooperative attack.

The above images shows a Combination Attack where Luffy starts out with a kick, a beat-down from Goku, then a finisher with both of their signature attacks.

J-Stars Victory Vs. is in development for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.
