Red Entertainment is involved with a new Sakura Wars game, but it’s probably not what you’re hoping for. Sakura Wars: All-Star Collection is a card game from social game developer GREE. Players can collect over 800 cards featuring more 80+ characters from the series.
What do you do with these cards? You form a team and battle enemies. Essentially, this is Sakura Card Wars, but the LIPS (Live & Interactive Picture System) was salvaged for the game. Between card fights there is an adventure part where you chat with different characters. Your responses change the character’s motivation level and can unlock special event scenes that upgrade your cards.
Sakura Wars: All-Star Collection goes live in September and if you register before the game launches you will start out with some rare cards with artwork by Hidenori Matsubara.
