A Whirlwind Presentation Of Ultra Dimension Action Neptunia U

Tamsoft is developing an action game for the Neptunia series and this video of Ultra Dimension Action Neptunia U gives us a look at Neptune’s whirlwind attack. The PlayStation Vita game feels like the developer’s Onechanbara or perhaps Omega Force’s Dynasty Warriors series.

Using the Dual Battle system, players select two characters and can switch between them right on the battlefield. Taking a cue from their work on the Senran Kagura series, Ultra Dimension Action Neptunia U has costume breaks that trigger after a character takes so much damage. When this happens you’ll take more damage, but your critical attack rate goes up. Players can also transform by using an Exe Drive which temporarily makes your character more powerful.

This trailer also has a glimpse of Famitsu and Dengekiko, two video game magazines turned characters in Ultra Dimension Action Neptunia U.

Ultra Dimension Action Neptunia U comes out on August 28 for PlayStation Vita.
