Wii plays backed up games with out a modchip?

This video has something unusual in it. The user starts playing a real copy of the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, but doesn’t have the required nunchuck plugged in the remote when the game is booting up. Before plugging in the nunchuck the user switches the disc with a DVD-R, then plugs in the nunchuck. Surprisingly, Zelda plays fine even though the actual game isn’t loaded inside. Strange, but the video is so blurry it’s hard not to question its authenticity. Real or fake? What do you think?
