Wii U Has A Traditional Shmup. Introducing Gaiabreaker

img_mainWii U is getting an old school space shooter on December 25. Gaiabreaker is from Ubiquitous Entertainment, the same company that brought the enchant.js framework to Wii U. This shooting game uses the HTML5/JavaScript engine.

Gaiabreaker looks like a standard vertical shump and you can play it on either the TV or the Wii U gamepad. It looks like you can rotate the Wii U controller to play Gaiabreaker in tate mode. The game has 24 types of Class items to collect and 20 Honor items. Gaiabreaker also supports Miiverse and shows where other players reached in the stage on the borders.

Gaiabreaker will cost 1,890 yen ($18) as an eShop download.
