Isometric action RPG Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem lets players be who they wish to be. If they want to be a fireball-flinging knight, they can do that. Whatever the player chooses for themselves, though, will eventually unlock a special form unique to their play style, with powers granted based on how the player tackles the game.

Previously known as Umbra, Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem lets players equip themselves with whatever spells, armor, and weapons they like. However, use of abilities draws from one of three pools: rage (melee), stamina (escape), and mana (magic). Using an ability will fuel the pool it uses while draining the others, forcing players to consider how they want to deal with a given enemy mob.

Early on, the game will also observe how the player fights as they explore the game’s randomly-generated dungeons. Depending on which powers they lean toward using, they will gain access to Apocalyptic Abilities, which can make players grow a third arm to fight with, create a damaging tornado as they run, or cast their whole body in fire.

Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem is available on Steam Early Access.
