Red Entertainment revealed their “New World Project” as Our World is Ended, a PS Vita visual novel about a group of game developers that somehow changed their world into that of their game’s. Here’s more info from this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine. [Thanks, Hachima.]
First, here’s a bit on the game’s story:
Summer of 2017.
The members of small-time game development company “Judgment 7” were determined to come up with a game that can flip the game industry upside down. While programming for their RPG using AR technology, the perverted programmer “Owari Sekai” (false name, and also means “World End” in Japanese) carelessly wrote an evil program that “expands reality.”
The painful setting, painful characters, and painful story that Judgment 7 created has become a reality, and the world is heading into a scenario of destruction.
The painful battle to bring the world back to normal, begins.

In Our World is Ended, you’ll travel between the real world and game world. Using the VR device “New World Goggles” you’ll get to visit the game world.
The S.O.S (Selection of Soul) System is a system used for conversation scenes in the game. When a player’s feelings rise, the voice (selectable) of the protagonist’s heart will give you some options on the screen. The “voice” will then drift away from the screen after time passes.
The game is set in the Asakusa district in Taito, Tokyo, and you’ll see real-life landmarks and designs appear in the game.
Our World is Ended is being developed by Red Entertainment, with a story by director Naoki Morita, character designs by Eiri Shirai, scenario by Taro Achi, and music by Exit Tunes.
Our World is Ended releases in Japan in 2017 for PlayStation Vita. Its development is 70% complete.
