One of the highlights of the Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is a new epilogue being added for the Nintendo Switch installment. However, it is still a rather mysterious thing. At least now, we have a better idea of when it takes place. The Xenoblade Chronicles Future Connected storyline is set a year after the game ends, according to Nintendo of Europe.
As a reminder, Xenoblade Chronicles Future Connected is a full chapter that goes over what happened after Shulk and his friends went to fight the Mechons invading the home of the organic people living on Bionis. Naturally, the conflict grows and the group finds themselves involved in a much larger conflict that reveals incredible truths about the world. Shulk and Melia will find themselves on yet another journey together.
Fortunately, there’s good news for people who are grabbing Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition just for the Future Connected storyline. It will be immediately playable. People don’t have to beat the game again to get to it.
However, while that is available and immediately accessible, some features added after Xenoblade Chronicles’ original release are not. The New 3DS version’s extra features will be absent from this version of the game.
Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition will come to the Nintendo Switch on May 29, 2020. Standard and special editions will be available.
