Takayuki Yanase is known for some of his mech designs done in projects such as Ghost in the Shell: Arise and Metal Gear Rising, but his latest is Xenoblade Chronicles X. The official website updates us with a gallery featuring some of his latest work for the game.

The top image is the complete drawing that Yanase completed, followed by a look at four rough illustrations. The request was to create an illustration that focuses on Dolls.

The above images show what the Dolls look like, individually. If you thought the designs look pretty familiar, Yanase also designed various Mobile Suits and Gundams for Mobile Suit Gundam 00, along with other mecha designs for Deadman Wonderland and Eureka Seven: AO.

As far as other video games go, Yanase has also worked on several Armored Core and Super Robot Taisen games in the past.

Xenoblade Chronicles X will release in Japan on April 29, 2015 for Wii U. A Western release is scheduled for later this year.
