Xenoblade Chronicles X Will Let You Slightly Customize Your Home Base

Recommended Videos

In his latest round of tweets, Xenoblade Chronicles X director Koh Kojima touches upon the BLADE home area in the game. As previously reported, New Los Angeles is home to a number of arms companies that manufacture weapons for you to use. Supporting certain companies will level them up and they’ll create better gear. These companies tie into the BLADE home area.

Kojima writes: “A word about a new feature related to battles that didn’t exist in Xenoblade Chronicles—the Arms Companies. You can enjoy each company’s characteristic equipment designs. The company logos were created by the Monolith design team, with great attention to detail. These logos can be used to customize the BLADE home area a little, so please give it a shot.”

“Could it be there hasn’t been much said about the BLADE home so far?” Kojima adds in his follow-up tweets. “It’s the area that serves as the player’s base of activities, both online and offline, so you’ll likely visit it frequently during the game. This is why we’ve created customization options like the ones mentioned in my tweets.”

Aside from the BLADE home and Arms Companies, New Los Angeles also houses  industrial, commercial, and residential districts. You can read all about those here.

Xenoblade Chronicles X will be released in Japan on April 29th. North America and Europe will see the game sometime later this year.
