Yu-Gi-Oh Cross Duel Will Shut Down on September 2023

Konami announced that Yu-Gi-Oh Cross Duel will shut down on September 4, 2023. The announcement came through the official Japanese Yu-Gi-Oh Cross Duel Twitter account. Additionally, Konami revealed that they will make adjustments to login bonuses and other gifts so that people can continue to enjoy the game until end of service. All sales of Crystals, a premium currency in the game, ceased after the announcement.

Yu-Gi-Oh Cross Duel launched on September 6, 2022 for iOS and Android devices. By the time the game shuts down, it will have been less than a year since its release. The official Yu-Gi-Oh Cross Duel cited “various circumstances” for ending service for the game, but no further details were given.

Before service for the game ends, a new event, cards, and raid will be implemented. A single event based on Yu-Gi-Oh SEVENS will release on April 4, 2023, and it includes new cards. Meanwhile, a new raid event with even more cards will be added on April 13, 2023.

Konami will be releasing more information about the termination of service for the game through the official website and the Yu-Gi-Oh Cross Duel app.
