AtomDetails on Balthier and the Dark Knight in Final Fantasy Tactics: The Lion War
Balthier from Final Fantasy XII is a new addition to Ramza’s story in Final Fantasy Tactics. Ramza “meets” up with Balthier when he’s trying to rescue Alma and they aren’t exactly on friendly terms at first. Balthier does join the party and his abilities are under the “target” command. The first ability is loosely translated to “straight to the heart” suggests that Balthier’s skill is aiming his gun. He has a unique job class called “sky pirate”. The Dark Knight class which was in Final Fantasy Tactics is also getting some changes. It is now a playable class and there are new Dark Sword skills. One is “weapon basher” which can seal an enemy’s movement (i.e. give the Don’t Move status) and deal damage at the same time. The Dark Knight can equip dark swords like the Chaos Bringer (Chaos Blade in the US version). if u recall Cloud uses a time travel to get into this game as well if u have played the original game and unlocked him so it is very viable that balthier could use the same type of thing to be in this game seeing how both are supposed to be involved with mustadio

Bathier was probably using an upgraded magicite power that Montblancs brother( the machinist moogle always working on his ship) installed for time pieriods, remember that Balthier had “plans” after helping Vaan. That can fill the gap between ff12 and ff12: revinent wings. Balthier promised he will make Vaan a sky pirate after he “does something important.” Think about it

Wait wait wait, so they aren’t framing it as some sort of time travel mishap? That doesn’t make any sense!
1. Baltheir is supposed to be related to Mustadio
2. How can you be a Sky Pirate in a world where there hasn’t been airships for hundreds of years?
3. FFXII and FFT are clearly in different time periods
