Gust is developing a sequel to Ar tonelico

While North America just got Ar Tonelico a few months ago, it’s been out in Japan for over a year and that means its due for a sequel. Banpresto announced on Famitsu Ar tonelico 2: Sekai ni Hibiku Shoujo tachi no Souzou Uta is coming out sometime in 2007. Battles have been altered slightly with a new team magic system where you can boost your Reyvateil’s song magic. Otherwise, Ar toenlico 2 sticks to the formula of fast battles, grathmelding and cosmosphere diving. There aren’t any announcements about NIS America localizing Ar tonelico 2, but it seems likely that they’re going to do it. Speaking of Gust, Ar tonelico 2 isn’t their only Playstation 2 game in development Mana-Khemia is coming out too. Now if NIS America picks both of these games up it’s possible that the Playstation 2 will have life all the way in 2008.
