Professor Layton speaks English

Many months after the quiet Professor Layton announcement we finally have screenshots of the US build to show Nintendo is on target to release it sometime in February. The first thing I noticed was the text on the top screen. Does it feel small and squished to you? This isn’t Dead Rising standard television font eye-straining, but Level 5 picked a minuscule font to explain the rules. However, font size is the least of Layton’s worries. As it stands, Professor Layton will be competing against the goliath release of Super Smash Brothers Brawl for your wallet if it sticks to the slated February 11 release date.

The Wii is dead to me. So my money wil happily go towards Professor Layton.

Strangely enough, I want this game more than Brawl, been curious about the Layton puzzles since day1. Since it needs quick response, I opt to wait for the US release.
Lost Odyssey’s around the same time too…

Yeah the text was impossible for Dead Rising, bean-tiny. The text in FFCC Ring of Fates was bigger and much easier on the eyes than the text in FF IV DS..

Does this game still have all spoken dialog including the cool feature that had your typed name read out within the dialog? First time I played the game, I was surprised my name was included in the spoken dialog, it sounded perfect.

@Luke – That’s a fair question I thought of too. Since a playable build isn’t around the short answer is no one knows, but I guess they will replace the voices with English ones.
