This is how Tears to Tiara looks on the PS3 and PC

My first thought was “wow, these combat scenes look sweet”. My second was, “I can’t believe how much this game has changed.” While Tears to Tiara is a PlayStation 3 game, its origins are a PC game. Here’s the PlayStation 3 trailer, which concentrates on actual gameplay footage minus the adventure scenes.

Now compare that with footage of the PC game.

Aquaplus didn’t just polish the game for the PlayStation 3. The combat system has been completely revamped to make Tears to Tiara a grid based strategy RPG. Japan gets a chance to purchase Tears to Tiara on July 17. No North American release has been announced, but I imagine companies are eying this already. NIS America seems like a possible candidate to localize Tears to Tiara since they are working on PlayStation 3 games, specialize in SRPGS, and have a knack for taking risks with new franchises. They took a risk localizing those Idea Factory and 2D Gust RPGs for the English speaking world.

Anyone getting a slight Fire Emblem vibe from the ps3 video?
But it looks like a good game… and hopefully it will get released in the UK, if not imports the only way.
