Sony will release the Metallic Blue slim PSP color in Japan as part of a “value pack” that includes a pouch, charger, wrist strap, 32 MB Memory Stick Pro Duo and a useless for importers D-terminal TV cable for 23,800 yen ($230) on July 17. Residents in Japan can add on the One Seg tuner for an extra 6,000 yen ($58), which brings the final price of the One Seg pack to 29,800 yen ($288). However, at that price the Madden Entertainment Pack coming to North America in August sounds like a much better deal. Sony Computer Entertainment’s blue PSP bundle includes a copy of Madden 09, a UMD video of NFL clips, a 1GB Memory Stick Pro Duo and a code to download Beats for $30 less.
Two weeks earlier Sony Computer Entertainment Japan will sell the Cinnabar Red slim PlayStation 2 in Japan for 16,000 yen ($155). This color was previously released by Sony Computer Entertainment Asia right around Lunar New Year.

Ever since your original post about this, I have been searching high and low for some online retailer who carried the Asian version. Eventually I figured it had either been extremely limited or canceled and gave up!
Thank you so much for letting us know about this — as a US resident, I would rather have JP power requirements anyway, and it looks like this one will be easier to obtain as it is available for preorder in online stores.

Nice metallic blue for the PSP. I hope they would just bring out a different colored Wii alrdy (where’s my black Wii), there’s like 10 colors for the PSP and a couple for PS3.
