New Xevious Bundled With PSN Namco Museum

image Namco Bandai is ready to give you another dose of arcade nostalgia with Namco Museum.comm. Six games are included in this PlayStation 3 Namco Museum compilation: Pac-Man, Galaga, Dig Dug, Xevious, Dragon Spirit, and Xevious Resurrection.

Huh? Xevious Resurrection? That’s a brand new game! Built as a spiritual successor, Xevious Resurrection is a vertical 2D shooter with modern graphics and cooperative play for two. Namco Musuem.comm also has community features which is probably what the “.comm” stands for. Players can upload high scores to leaderboards, track or stalk friends, and collect Namco Museum Points.

As of now this PlayStation Network download has not been announced for any region except Japan where it comes out tomorrow. Snag it with a Japanese PSN account for 1,200 yen ($13).

Looking good. Huge fan of old Namco SHMUPs.

They better port this to XBLA…

The only other region I’ve found to have the demo/beta version of this game was the Asian PSN store, so I would guess this might be coming out in that region as well. …assuming this is the “full version” of the thing people are using for free items in Playstation Home.

I just can’t believe they’ve only released a download in Japan. It makes no sense. I understand not wanting to press discs all over the world but a freaking download should be easy to distribute.
