By Spencer . September 1, 2009 . 6:29am

bomen A slew of PsOne classics just got re-rated by the ESRB with Sony Computer Entertainment as the publisher. You know what that means — more PlayStation Classics on the PlayStation Store. Maybe Sony is gearing up a bunch of titles for the PSPgo launch. Maybe not. Final Fantasy Tactics was re-rated and that still hasn’t matriculated.

Anyway, here’s the list of PsOne games you can expect to appear online as PlayStation 3 and PSP downloads in the future.

Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain
Bloody Roar
Cool Boarders 2
Cool Boarders 3
International Track & Field
Oddworld: Abe’s Exodus
Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee
SimCity 2000
Syphon Filter 2
Tomb Raider
Tomb Raider 2
Un Jammer Lammy

Aren’t Bloody Roar, the two Tomb Raiders and some others already out?

Anyway, I only really care about Blood Omen, as my nickname might imply. I’ll gladly buy it for the third time. And this time it will be in proper 60hz.

  • I want Xenogears for US. :(

But they have some good choices on that list.

kain was one of the most disappointing games of the ps1 for me. the enemies would always hit you from just offscreen, and the frequent load times were really annoying. um jammer lammy, on the other hand, surprised me with how much i ended up liking it.

they really do need to select better titles in general.

    • Blood Omen was an amazing game, in my opinion, outside of the long load times. Though I bought it on release and it just didn’t feel AS bad then.

If they fix the load times even just a little LoK:BO will be an instant purchase.

i was so psyched for blood omen. i remember looking at the preview in gamefan again and again in sweet anticipation. i have the pc version, but it never ran well on my machine. i just had no luck with that game.

        • Me too! I probably had (and still have) the exact same Gamefan. I think it had something about the import Arc the Lad, also. Ahh, memories, eh? That stinks. I never got to play the PC version, but I always seem to have a better time on console with any game that is made for both. I guess having the USB controllers makes it basically the same though, but I just can’t picture myself playing Dead Rising or DMC4 on a PC. It just doesn’t feel “right.”

Im kind of disapointed by this list, sure I really liked the Oddworld games and Syphon Filterand Un Jammer are easy buys for me but I still can’t help but feel that our store will never be better then Japans. I want Legend of Dragoon, Xenogears, FF8, FF6, Chrono Trigger, Crono Cross, Grandia and Lunar 2 for starters in the RPG genre. I also want Einhander, the Mega Man X games, Resident Evil 2&3, Tomba 1&2, Crash Team Racing, and I will stop there to prevent “the wall of Text” that is my PSone wish list. The main reason is not because I don’t own some of these but because I can play them on PSP.

You know I remember talking with my firends and brother way back when about how amazing it would be to carry around Symphony of the Night in your pocket, pixel perfect and stereo quality sound. Of course we all laughed at how imposible that seemed at the time, now to see that realized the list of games I want to have portable is nothing more then a matter of Sony putting them up.
