Multiplatform Sengoku Basara: Battle Heroes Screens Look Similar, Too Similar?

Sengoku Basara: Battle Heroes is being made for PlayStation 3 and Wii, but Capcom has not shown any differences between platforms until now.

Notice the buttons? These screenshots from Sengoku Basara: Battle Heroes’ drama emaki mode distinguish the Wii and PlayStation 3 versions. Images from the PlayStation 3 release are on the left. Wii is on the right. Impress Watch posted these pictures as a comparison in their latest article.

While these are only menu screenshots, it appears Capcom the graphics, at least in the menus, are the same on both platforms. It’s that or this will be this week’s button swap Photoshop fiasco.

I figure the PS3 version will be a direct port of the Wii version, Capcom’s pretty fucking lazy when it comes to the big black box.

While this has gotten better lately, there is a point when I would have agreed for sure. Anyone remember the horrible port of Lost Planet with crap graphics and mandatory 5 gig install?

  • malek86

These images are the same… it’s button swapping all over again! Are all japanese companies really THAT stupid?

Though I guess it doesn’t matter much for in-menu graphics, it’s still kind of unsettling, especially after the whole FF13 debacle.

      They did a Squenix! :D

I remember there being off-screenshots during TGS where you see the game on both Wii and PS3 displays, and they looked similar.

The PS3 version has online co-op and not the Wii version, but I think it has to do with lag rather than laziness on the Wii version, considering how fast-pace the game is and the amount of enemies on-screen there are, I would not be surprised in the least if lag was the reason for not including it.

Title should be Multiplatform Sengoku Basara: Battle Heroes Bullshots Look The Same, Exactly The Same.

  • daizyujin

This looks kinda like a hoax. I mean there should at least be a minimal difference due to resolution if nothing else.

  • Ereek

    Deja vu.

i see what you did there

  • nyobzoo

well the PS3 has on-line co-op so…that one for me then

  • thebanditking

I don’t know what going on with this, personally Capcom had better do something to enhance the PS3 version. I mean come on Wii graphics on my PS3, thats like backwards compatibility.

    • http://soundcloud.com/tet-chan TetsuyaHikari

Yeah, too bad you don’t even get backwards compatibility on the newer PS3s though. So it’s not even that!

I do agree though. There should definitely be something done. I’m sorry, but..I didn’t pay $450 for something to show the same graphical potential as the Gamecube 1.5.

I’m getting it for PS3 regardless since I’m a SB fan, but still..this is quite unsettling :<

Alright guys. You saw it here first. XBOX 360 vs PS3 screenshot comparisons are out.

    Buttonswap comparisons are in!

It is fucking annoying. Everybody seems to do that these days. Just recently i compared Lost Planet 2 screenshots of the PS3 and XBox version. They were the same, right down to the pixel. ANd i also blame videogame websites (not ths one, but crap like IGN) for playing along with this bullshit.
