Absolute Hero Modding Project Packaging Is Brilliant

Absolute Hero Modding Project Packaging Is BrilliantZettai Hero Kaizou Keikaku (Absolute Hero Modding Project) is all about a customizable hero. You can equip and swap parts akin to an customizable figure.

That’s why this limited edition package art is so fitting. The game’s protagonist appears to be in an action figure box, but it’s really the box for the PSP game. He (i.e. you) becomes the hero after the real hero gets run over by a car.

While a special figure would be the perfect bonus item, the limited edition doesn’t have one. You get a two disc soundtrack and a book with full color illustrations.

Absolute Hero Modding Project, Nippon Ichi’s second take on the dungeon RPG genre, comes out next week in Japan.

I have to agree the box art for this is quite brilliant.

I really thought that was an actual figure for a second. I wonder if they’ll actually make some for this series later on…

The box art is very clever. My excitement is really building for this game. It looks like it’s going to be NIS’s next masterpiece. Here’s hoping it’s as fun to play as it looks (and that NISA decides to localize it).

The hat that the girl wears reminds me of a certain piece of headwear from Gaia Online, an avian kind of a popular internetz reference. The special battle effects featured in the game looks pretty sweet. I want to play this game, partly because of NIS and because of the outrageous levels of customization.
