Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes Set For Fall

imageA few months after Sengoku Basara 3 launches in Japan, Capcom is bringing the game to our shores under the name Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes. No, it won’t be Devil Kings 2 either. Capcom USA is keeping all of the Sengoku period references in the Western release.

Players will fight their way to the battle of Sekigahara armed with swords, bows, spears, and guns. The game has over a dozen characters to choose from each with their own Basara move.

Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes is in development for PlayStation 3 and Wii. In Japan, online play is only available on the PS3 version. Capcom USA hasn’t said if they’re going to upgrade the Wii version like they did with Monster Hunter Tri.

  • Lol ps3 and wii? xD thats a weird combo to release a game, considering their differences.

  • nyobzoo

nice, be getting the PS3 version for sure with online co-op

  • I want a Wii specific screenshot to see if it actually looks close to what we’ve been seeing, I obviously have to assume everything’s been from the PS3 version so far. :/

  • Wait till the Fall for US release? No thanks. I’ll just import Basara like I always have.

I’ve waited long enough for this :P

    July, here we come!

Well, I guess this explains why FUNimation has yet to release the anime yet, despite announcing it over a year & a half ago. They’re probably going to do some kind of cross promotion (Like with Sands of Destruction)

    • I hope that there’s gonna be a video game + DVD limited edition.

  • I’ll buy it for the PS3 regardless of Online or not… that is… as long as it doesn’t lock me out for having pre 3.21 firmware… F#$K Sony.

    • You can also thank them for the forced English dub inclusion rule.

So they’re dropping the “Devil Kings” moniker for western release. Good.
