Kung-Fu Rider Slides Into Stores With 27 Stages

kf1aKung Fu Rider, previously called Slider at GDC, is one of the few PlayStation Move launch titles developed by Sony’s Japan studio. The concept of Kung Fu Rider is as simple as it is wacky. You, a private eye named Toby, and Karin, his assistant, are escaping from gangsters by riding an office chair through the streets of Hong Kong.

Players tilt the PlayStation Move controller to make the chair turn and flick it to jump.

While this sounds like it could be a downloadable game, Kung Fu Rider will be a retail title in North America. Sony’s Japan studio created six areas with 27 courses to slide on. Oh, and there will be more things to ride than office chairs. Toby and Karin are riding other “vehicles” in these screenshots.

as cool as that sounds, where’s the real SCEJ games this gen? I mean they’ve done nothing so far that have made them stand out above the rest. Where’s the Jrpgs, the action adventure, the big budget titles. Sure there’s a few like Demon’s Souls but everyone see that as a From Software title and The Last Guardian, but that’s not out yet, so far most of there games has been on PSN or PSP. Shame that most of their talent has been lost this generation :( SCEE also

This is one of those rare motion controlled games that just sounds fun. I’m real interested in playing this.

Hope there’s a reasonable amount of fanservice from the assistant. Otherwise, boring.
