Macross Frontier The Movie: The False Diva Hybrid Pack Includes PS3 Macross Game

Namco Bandai followed through with plans revealed on a financial presentation back in May. Macross Frontier The Movie: The False Diva also has a game on the Blu-ray disc.

 

Macross: Trial Frontier lets players pilot mechs from the movie. Fighters in this game include VF-25F, VF-25S, VF-25G, RVF-25, YF-25G, and the Queadluun Rare. The game system is based on Macross: Ultimate Frontier, Artdink’s last PSP game.

 

Expect songs, transforming variable fighters, and tons of flying missiles.

 

Macross: Trial Frontier will be the first Macross game on PlayStation 3. The movie/game hybrid disc is slated for October 7.

    I didn't really like Macross Ace Frontier. Gundam Battle Universe is way better and in my opinion is much more rensponsive. It just seems Ace Frontier has unwieldly controls.

    I however, loved Robotech Battlecry. Which everything felt much more fluid and wasn't ridiculously hard controlling your Valkyrie. Hopefully a PS3 version of Macross is more user friendly.

    Maybe if you said Sega's Macross for PS2 I could respect your opinion.
    And Ace Frontier was a waaaaaay better game than Battle Universe. Faster gameplay, more unique (since you could transform). Most likely you just sucked at the game thats all.

    Interesting concept. I've never watched Macross, but this offer is pretty appealing! I hope it's a full-fledged game, but “Trial Frontier” has me a bit skeptical.

    This isn't exactly what I had in mind when waiting for the first Macross game to finally hit the PS3. I doubt this is going to be anything more than a demo on a disc. My guess is, you could probably get a few hours worth of gameplay out of this “game”, tops.

    I think I'll wait for something more official.

    I'm guessing this is going to be like the FFVII Advent Children Complete with the FFXIII demo? Nice perk, I just hope they put it in a normal Bluray case X_X
