Rumor: Nippon Ichi Partners With Imageepoch To Make Criminal Girls

By Spencer . August 3, 2010 . 1:48am

imageUnconfirmed reports about a Nippon Ichi and Imageepoch partnership are spreading on Japanese message boards. Imageepoch are the developers of the Luminous Arc series and Fate/Extra.

This week’s issue of Dengeki PlayStation has a feature on Criminal Girls, an upcoming PSP RPG developed by the two companies. Rumored details claim the RPG has a top down view with 2D dot graphics. Instead of playing a typical hero, Criminal Girls puts you in the shoes of a prison guard. The goal of the game is to rehabilitate girls trapped in criminal hell.

Criminal Girls sounds quite different from any other Nippon Ichi game to date and we’re searching for more details. As soon as we have any we’ll post ‘em.

Update: More details about Criminal Girls are leaking out. Brace yourself this is about to get bizarre. The tagline is a girls punishing RPG. Players can punish girls by spanking them, locking them up, and giving healing massages. Hell in this game is an actual place and these “punishments” are designed to help the girls move back into the real world. The seven girls (Kisaragi, Arisu, and Tomoe were revealed) embody different deadly sins. Kisaragi, for example, represents greed. Arisu is pride.

When I read the “rehabilitate girls trapped in criminal hell” part I wondered what kind of rehabilitation the girls would have to endure…

Yes sometimes I have a dirty mind. Sounded more like the setting for a eroge than something that is coming from NIS :p

But hey? Who knows? I might get hooked on it. Sounds interesting enough.

Now all that I want is gameplay footage.

  • evilmoogle

NIS is involved so we may spank etna?
I hope chris hansen won’t see ME playing this….I bet some of those girls are under-aged.

      Underaged for America anyway :p

so i guess this is gonna be nippon ichi’s first game where they WONT bring it to the states i guess

    • Pichi

Sadly, there are many other Nippon Ichi games that never made it to the states before this.

    • Yuan

Seeing the description about this game, it’s no wonder why NISA is reluctant for localizing it. Such fetish game… And BTW, though published by NIS, it should be Imageepoch’s game. Like Blue Roses is actually Apolon Soft’s.

  • gatotsu911

Holy lord. I guess I can no longer suggest that ImageEpoch has never made anything original. Of course, originality here is… not a virtue.

  • nyoron

Intriguing… I’m going to need to see some screenshots.

So, I’m supposed to rehabilitate prisoners. Cool, sounds like a selfless job. Like a priest, or monk, or something. So, I’m a prison guard and I’ll be leading them back to the land of the innocence by… punishing and sp-spanking? And then MASSAGING?? 7 different girls?!?

Frankly at this point, I don’t see how I’ll ever be able to win this game. ‘Cause regardless of the results, at the end of the game, I would feel like a criminal. Someone, please rehabilitate me!

This… could be relevant to certain peoples’ interests.

Ok, I’m interested. Looking forward to screenshots or more details.

this totally sounds like an eroge plot, but hell now i wanna play it, just to see how it goes, perhaps it has some good bg story or something of the sort…

  • Methylene

Okay, “punishing girls” via spanking and then massaging in order to help them stop being sinful.

Yes, absolutely no implications there, nope.

  • darkonezero

“Some of these punishments require the game to use mosaics so that you don’t see certain areas.”
    According to http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/2010/08/03/criminal_girls/
    I don’t like where this is going….
