The Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together Collector’s Pack

By Spencer . September 30, 2010 . 3:01am

imageTactics Ogre fans in Japan might want to check out Square Enix’s online store since the publisher is selling a limited edition there.

The 9,980 yen ($120) Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together collector’s pack contains the original soundtrack, a set of tarot cards (which are also available as a pre-order bonus), the game, and an illustration signed by Akihiko Yoshida packed in a box that’s designed to look like an oil painting.

Quite the Tactics Ogre collectable, especially considering that Square Enix rarely releases game-only limited editions in Japan.

If this were Atlus, we would get this collectors pack.

      • Ladius

More like Aksys or XSEED, Atlus USA hasn’t provided a noteworthy limited edition in quite some time.

I guess I was referring to pre-order bonuses. Atlus always has awesome pre-order bonuses.I can’t think of one SquareEnix game that came with a bonus.

It’s okay, they’re getting ready for Catherine Super Hot Sexy Edition Something

You didn’t get the super hot Demon’s Souls LE, I take it?

Oh my god I really really want this, even though I’ve never played an Ogre game besides the GBA one for like 10 minutes. This is the game I’m gonna use to finally get into the series.

I’m gonna assume Square Enix NA will cheap out on us and do nothing but offer a higher-res version of one of the site wallpapers as a preorder bonus, if that—but just in case somebody’s listening? I would probably pay ten bucks extra for an “LE” containing nothing extra but those Major Arcana cards.

Is the signature a real physical signature on each copy or just a machine reproduction of a master?

Just the JPN release? I hope the NA release would also have something like this too.

We got one and it was called Soul Nomad & the World Eaters

      • http://flailthroughs.blogspot.com Flailthroughs

THANK YOU. I thought I was the only one that thought of Soul Nomad was practically an Ogre Battle game!

  • Ladius

A really beautiful limited edition, let’s hope Square Enix creates something for the western markets too (Square Enix Europe has given the Pal market many limited editions recently, so there is still a glimmer of hope).

  • thebanditking

Well this looks awesome, which of course means we won’t get it and its for Japan. I would say I was sad but after 21 years of playing games I expect Japan to get all the cool stuff.
