Namco Bandai’s Aero-Cross Runs & Jumps To PS3 And Xbox 360

imageThe ESRB leaked details about Aero-Cross, an upcoming game from Namco Bandai where players run on a track and jump over rolling barrels.

This is a racing game in which players control a human-like character that runs and jumps through futuristic track environments while performing tricks and avoiding obstacles. Mines, hurdles, and rolling barrels will sometimes cause racers to get flung off the track; a droid robot may grab and zap players’ character, resulting in a shocking effect that causes the racer’s body to twitch.

Jumping over hurdles, running on a track, and doing mid-air tricks sounds a lot like Metrocross, an old arcade game developed by Namco. The only thing missing is the handy skateboard that let players zip through levels. Perhaps, Aero-Cross is a remake? If that’s the case, Aero-Cross is probably for PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.

It isn’t just a PSN and XBOX Live thing.

Namco Bandai released Enslaved and even the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm and Dragon Ball: Raging Blast games on PS3 and XBOX 360.

    • Right and of course we’re aware Namco Bandai has other PS3 and Xbox 360 titles. But since Aero-Cross popped up without any press information via trademarks, and a Classifications Board rating in Australia first, this game is probably for Xbox Live and PSN.

  • I bet this will sell better than any Tales Of game right Bamco?

All they need is some way to nickle-and-dime you with DLC for this, and they’re good to go!

I find it strange if this is indeed a remake, why choose this game of all ol’ school Namco games? Was the original really amazing, or is there a high demand for it or something?
