Felyne Fashion In Monster Hunter Portable 3rd

By Ishaan . November 12, 2010 . 8:27am

As reported previously, Felynes in Monster Hunter Portable 3rd are customizable. You’ll be allowed to train them to raise specific stats, skills and even give them unique equipment to help them stand out from each other.

How unique? Here’s a quick example from the game’s website:

See that green armour in the second row? That’s Rathian Armor. The pink one on the top-right? That’s from some poor Rhenoplos. Here’s a couple more:

And let’s not forget the Monster Hunter Portable 3rd collaboration with a certain Konami franchise. I like to call it…”Metairu Gear.”

enhancements on Felyne companions are a pretty good decision by Capcom IMO.
i’ve tried the demo and i feel like the felynes are WAY more useful by miles than ever before. i treated them more like hindrances on 2nd G, and mostly go solo instead.

but 3P is different story. paralyzing monsters, power boost, healing flutes. awesome

Yeah, I found my Felynes in FU spent most of their time dying.

They did make for handy decoys when you need to run into a corner and heal, as terrible as that is.

Yeahh, the Cha-cha AI in MH3 was noticeably better then Felynes, I think you’ll see that Felynes AI in MHF3 has likely improved a lot.

I’m giving all my Felynes the sneaking suit. We’ll be an elite unit.

    I’ll call it… SOCKSHOUND.

Don’t forget, from the trailer, there were two felynes wearing the Tigrex and Narga armor.

rar, this may be my favorite new feature in MHF3, the fact they are legitimately putting effort into the Felyne armor/weapons is all kinds of win in my books >w<
