By Ishaan . November 16, 2010 . 6:09pm

Don’t worry, Europe…you’re getting Hyperdimension Neptunia, too. Tecmo Koei are publishing the Console Patron Unit-starring game on March 4th, 2011.

If you plan on ordering online, Amazon.co.uk and Play.com have already shaved the price of the game down 20% from £49.99 to £39.99 in the UK.

The Idea Factory-developed PS3 game still doesn’t have a release date in North America, but NIS America tell us to expect it a few weeks prior to the PAL version.

  • Wow I wasnt expecting the game that early in the year here in the US. Well I can not wait for it. It looks cool.

  • Dragon Age 2, Mass Effect 2, Neptunia, Marvel vs Capcom 3. Already broke.

    • Im getting all of those, in addition to Phantom Brave: The Hermuda Triangle

      • that reminds me. I need a PSP. Hopefully I can find a good online deal. :o

    • Yusaku_Matsuda70s

Bu-bu-but Black Friday! Or are you in Europe?

      • I try not to shop on Black Friday. I almost got beat up by a bunch of a old women. I even had to fight for a couple stuff. Also, this month, I’m giving up and importing Tales of Vesperia and Tales of Graces F. I can’t wait anymore. ;_;

        • MizuMikomi

Every Black Friday I have shopped during I have either gotten sick, or hurt in one way or another, so I don’t blame you for not wanting to.

I did the exact same regarding those two games; just today actually. Sadly, won’t get them until Christmas, due to my parents ordering them for me, but I am just glad I am finally getting to play Tales of Vesperia again.

          • so lucky. I have to pay for them myself…..my mom would be like….
“80 BUCKS FOR ONE GAEM!!??” So I’ll just save myself the trouble. xD

          • MizuMikomi

Nah I am just overly spoiled, plus there is the fact my sister BEGGED for an HDTV, and my parents say we need to have an equal money spent on us… sooooo even though I could buy them myself, I decided just to ask them. Lol

        • Yusaku_Matsuda70s

Ahhh… you have my sympathies. Online shopping might be the way to go. Both the old women and Namco… they need to get their act together.

*obligatory* “Don’t worry! The next PS3 Tales will make it… as surely as uh, the next old woman you encounter won’t hurt you!”

          • well kanji is the only thing right now I need to learn so probably by then, I’ll be able to read most of it. xD

          • joesz

You better go learn it right now!!
It took me 2 years to learn 1800+ kanji and I feel that my head would If I attempt to learn more.

      • Why is it called black friday o.o

    • raymk

What ME2? OH you mean the ps3 version lol. If you have a PC its best to just play it on that its better than the x360’s version. BUt yea i’ll be broke as well cause Neptunia, MVC3,KOF XIII and Valkyria chronicles 3 will break me a little.

  • BOYLANmonk

    This game is awful.
Compile Heart needs to be shutdown, NOW!

    • why? they make games for a consumer who otherwise would be stuck with the junk that bigger publishers make?

      • I’ve neither played this game nor am I inherently against it. I watched the live playtest here and I was excited about it for the months before it was released. However, I did come across a number of reviews whose verdicts could probably be summed up as “mediocre”.

I mean insults aside guys, what do we expect from this game except a megaton of fan service and moe? The dominant publishers are definitely shafting consumers, there’s no question of it – but is this game really delivering what we should be allowed to expect from a JRPG in the year 2010?

        • MizuMikomi

Honestly I will admit, I am wanting it for the characters and the customizable aspect of it, I am a sucker for moe and customization. Put them in the same game and it is a definite pre-order for me.

          • Guest

What I wanted was full fledged 3D summons not just static 2D sprites.

Even the summons in Segagaga looked more ambitious and that was on the Dreamcast.

Also no Segata Sanshiro summon. (Well I guess I could make my own but just sayin)

          • MizuMikomi

Personally I don’t mind the 2d, since I am into Graphics design and can easily make something that looks great from each and every game disc. LOL

    • MizuMikomi

I hope to God you have played it, otherwise I will label you as one of those idiots that judges a game before playing it. If you don’t like the game, or the company, don’t post in an article about it! Isn’t that common sense?

      • Yusaku_Matsuda70s

Uh-oh, the goddess Neptune herself has been angered by such a brash statement towards Compile! Look her angry yet totally moe expresion. >,<'

        • MizuMikomi

          I’ll admit, I laughed.

          • Yusaku_Matsuda70s

            :D Yay, not angry anymore…

          • MizuMikomi

Wasn’t angry in the first place, I am just tired of people complaining about games they have never even played. Its childish and immature in my opinion, and I tend to lash out at people who say things like that. xD

  • joesz

people around the world are always saying “thank god playstation 3 is region free”.

    • Yusaku_Matsuda70s

      Thank God I have a Playstation 3.

      • joesz

        Join the club:)

        • Yusaku_Matsuda70s

I’m not just in the club, I’m the freakin’ club sandwich! Arrgggh!! >8I

    • I don’t understand in this case though – the article says NIS will have the NA version released first?

      • MizuMikomi

Yes, the article said NISA will have it out earlier by a few weeks.
So I guess if any PAL players want to play it a few weeks in advance they could go ahead and purchase the NA version. Lol

      • joesz

Yes I know that very clear. What I meant is that the people that are very hyped for this game can now play it weeks or months ahead and If there was a cancellation or a problem, people can still play it in engrish.

But seriously region free is a true blessing to the current generation consoles, for example, the the Xbox does not have this,I had three pal games and I tried them, sadly they didn’t work except Fall Out 3.

  • MizuMikomi

A few weeks before March 4th!? That means my prediction of February 25th could be true, so psyched for this game. Lol

  • Yusaku_Matsuda70s

I am liking this pre-launch price drop trend.

  • nyoron

So another game that’s gonna be out before Ar Tonelico 3? God damn it!Although I do want this one too so I guess it’s OK… I guess…

Edit: I thought about it more and it’s actually not OK, why do you do this to me NISA :(

  • Yayyyy!

    • nyoron

This is off topic but I just wanted to say, if it was your call to go with Horo instead of Holo in Z.H.P., I love you.

      • I will forward that love on to the translator/coordinator who did an awesome job on it. To be honest, I’m not too familiar with about half of the Dengeki cameos!

  • JustaGenericUser

So this more or less confirms that Hyperdimension Neptunia comes out in the US in late February or in the first week of March, then. Well, at least this means it won’t be at the exact same time as Ar Tonelico 3. Would have made deciding on which to buy harder. I expect AT3 to come out in April, maybe May depending on how much translation and voice acting is required.

EDIT: I just noticed the price drop in Europe. Does that mean it’ll be $40 in the US?

  • I love you, NISA.

Actually, I do kinda wish it came out around March 4th, as it’d make a great birthday gift for me (My birthday is March 6th).

  • Barrit

That is a pretty sweet preliminary picture they have as a boxart placeholder for the game listing on play-asia. Hopefully we’ll be getting some nice boxart for the US version.

  • malek86

Admittedly, after watching the playtest, I’m not sure I should get this. Moe is fine, but I’d really like a competent battle system behind it.

  • After watching the playtest I’m still not convinced. Looks like yet another medicore jRPG (with a fun setting).

  • I’m ready. Just give me the cue, NISA.

  • NISA FTW! Thanks again, the best developer on this generation!

  • Jaxx-Leviathan

I am so torn in my decision whether to buy this or not… might end doing the usual in this kind of situation: flip a coin.

  • Good we are getting this. I expected (err… hoped) SEGA to publish it though.
