imageSega is preparing a Valkyria Chronicles 3 collector’s edition, which includes an Emblem 422 cup. Not a mug, but a stainless collapsible cup.

Other items in the package include a telephone card attached to a mini-poster, a Valkyria Chronicles 3 Nameless x Calamity Raven visual clear poster, and the PSP game for 8,479 yen ($100).

Reserve Valkyria Chronicles 3, the limited edition or regular game, and you’ll get Gallia Secret Document file 422. This booklet tells the story of Kurt’s first battle (chapter zero), has a glimpse of Gallia in 1935, and a code to unlock Alias from Valkyria Chronicles 2 as a playable character.

Hmm.. that could be pretty cool as long as they don’t have a disclaimer on the cup similar to the disclaimer that was put on the FFXIV tumbler:

“Do not fill the product with the following materials as they may cause damage: Items including salt and solid materials, carbonated beverages, milk or other dairy beverages, fruit juices, etc.”

lol… the cup is for collecting purposes only.. XD

But, I think you can get a VC3 set without the game, with a pouch, psp front cover, screen cleaner and stickers for $44.90 which is more “usable”…
      Refer to this post: http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/2010/11/12/valkyria_3_accessory_set/

And i think the secret documents will more likely be a DLC later for NA or EU instead of the physical copy..

      • Barrit

Yea I know it’s just a collector’s item, but it still would be pretty cool if you could use it.

I’m right there with you! I already pre-ordered that VC3 accessory set about a week ago :D

  • Soma

    That’s a pretty rad bundle!
Hopefully Sega will release something just as cool for the North American fans.
I know that I would buy it.

    • glemtvapen

      I really doubt it.
Sega is not known to release bundles or LEs here in the US. Sad really.

      • Soma

That’s true. Usually there’s some kind of DLC bonus, but never any physical bonuses. I’m gonna keep hoping, though. Either way, I’ll be happy to play VC3 once it’s released.

It’s funny how few people seem to remember that Sega had a preorder bonus for the first Valkyria Chronicles. It was a limited edition artbook made exclusively by Raita (series’ artist).

As long as they bring the game…., they could sell the UMD wrapped up in some piece of paper and i would happily buy it xD

I’d love to buy this pack if it’s out on US reserves, to drink as an ode. For the Principality of Calamity Raven!!!

  • cmurph666

Whoa~!! Can I actually drink from the cup~?!

    • d19xx

I’m also curious about that. I want that damn thing…. *shakes fist*

  • PrinceHeir

    fucking nice :D

please port this on the west with dual audio ^^

i can’t wait for this along with Monster Hunter Portable 3rd :)

Since this is for PSP and they didn´t have dual audio in the second game I doubt it :( But who knows. Miracles might happen.

Nice added value. I wonder how much of it will make it past the borders and be included in the hopefully localized version.

It would be great if everything made it trough. But I doubt that :(

GAAAAAAAHHH!! Why is this not on PS3????? I don’t want another dumbed down Valkyria game on PSP. I bet Sony is paying them to put it on PSP instead of PS3 because the PSP sells so poorly, and they want to kamikaze hardware sales before the PSP2 comes out. ANNOYING.

Uh…while I have to agree that I’m rather upset that this isn’t on PS3, I have to ask who put the crazy pills in your cornflakes this morning? The PSP selling poorly? This is primarily a Japanese title for a Japanese audience. Have you seen the sales for the PSP in Japan? It sells more than the PS3 and Wii on a regular basis!

Your theory is completely baseless. If anything, this is on PSP due to the system having higher sales and Sega being too cheap to go with the development costs on PS3.

I don’t want this on PSP either, but I don’t start making things up to justify my disappointment. Learn some facts before making statements.

      • kamikaji

Heheh, yeah i got a little carried away :P You’re right though, the PSP does sell very well in Japan. I, for some reason, was just thinking about US sales in my slight rage. LOL. Anyways, point well taken, but I still wish it were coming to PS3 instead.

P.S. A troll put crazy pills in my cornflakes this morning.

No worries, mate. I want this on PS3 too, but we mustn’t lose our heads.

And I hate when trolls do that.

  • Fonic

Really nice. But I’d be satisfied if we just got the game and DLC. My interest in buying these types of collector’s editions has waned over the years.

  • joesz

That cup reminds me of the cold war.
