BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II is following in its predecessor’s footsteps and heading to the PSP. Continuum Shift II released in Japanese arcades just this month on December 9th.

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II will come with new scenarios and an “Abyss”. Up to four players will be able to play Continuum Shift II in multiplayer. Two players will engage in a fight at a time, while the other two watch.

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II on PSP is slated for a Spring 2011 release in Japan. Fans might be interested in knowing that Arc System Works will also be holding a “Guilty Gear x BlazBlue Music Live” concert on January 22nd in Japan. The concert will feature popular music from both series.

    Continuum Shift II? Im confused…
I’d look it up but Im going to sleep.

    • DemonicX

CSII is just an update for the arcades (DLC characters + balance patch). As you now know, it’s also now coming to the PSP.

    • RagnaXBL

Its just continuum shift with a few balance patches. the patches will be added to the console version as well, so no… its not a new games. you dont have to be confused

    • Darkrise

Plus an arcade mode enabled for the dlc characters alongside the rebalance patch.

  • Melty

“BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II will come with new scenarios” I hope this means the console versions are getting story mode for the dlc characters.

    • Darkrise

No just an arcade story mode for now. Story mode will be in the next game. =P

  • RagnaXBL

Damm i wanna go to that concert

  • BB CSII coming to PsP? I need to get that.

  • Guest

cool but I’d like to see them bring Fist of The North Star & Sengoku Basara X to PSN/PSP and Groove on Fight

  • Yay! I hope Aksys will localized this!!

    • ChaosPaladinFayt

well, localized or not, You don’t need to know japanese to play BBCS2. Unless you also want to fully understand the story. Looks good though d^^

  • I still can’t get the GG X BB Music Live out of my mind.

I wanna go to Japan :(

  • d19xx

Cool. Did the first one did well on the PSP?

  • What? No new characters?

    • PurpleDoom

New characters didn’t get added to the PSP port of the first game, either. It did get a new mode, though (Legion.)

Yes YEs YES! I’ve been waiting to hear this news ever since CS was announced! I hope it makes it to the US. Day 1 for me.

  • karasuKumo

    Can’t wait!

  • There weren’t very many things that BlazBlue did better than Guilty Gear, but one of those things is the soundtrack. Can’t wait to hear the live versions!

  • Fonic

I was dragging my feet on getting CS for an HD console so maybe I’ll just get this instead.

  • PrinceHeir

please release a console version of it. the arcade seems a little different from the 1st continuim shift(different announcer, more balance characters and so on) with story for the new characters, includes all DLC characters.

i know people are pissed that Arc System keeps revising their Fighting games but that’s how it is. there are already tons of GGX games it’s actually good to see the story being pushed forward. but i still prefer Guilty Gear due to it’s character designs and so ^^

    • Nite

The console version is getting the patch in Spring as well. And we already have the announcer as DLC. I find that announcer pretty bad though. I stick with Miyuki Sawashiro.

      • PrinceHeir

wait2? is Miyuki Sawashiro the announcer of the first BBCS? or Calamity trigger? she doesn’t sound like the announcer for the first Continuum Shift. if she is damn you aksys. i also don’t like the new announcer voice. she dosen’t fit in the game.

  • ChaosPaladinFayt

can’t wait to play as noel again….and Nu-12!!!!

  • Sounds good. Loved the first BlazBlue: Continuum Shift, despite the PSP not designed for fighting games ^_^
