Langrisser And Ys III Wander On To PlayStation Network In Japan

h1Hudson is fueling PlayStation Network with a steady stream of PC-Engine classics. On February 16, Langrisser: Descendants of Light will be available as a PSP and PS3 compatible digital download for just 600 yen ($7).

Ys III: Wanderers from Ys (which was later re-imagined as Ys: The Oath from Felghana), Shockman, and the horizontal scrolling shooter Aldynes will be available next week too. While a hard to find SuperGrafx game and 2D action game only cost 600 yen ($7) a piece, Ys III commands a premium 800 yen ($9.50) price tag.

Starting this year, Hudson began releasing TurboGrafx-16 games on PlayStation Network in North America. It’s unclear if this trend will continue since Hudson’s North American branch is sadly closing their doors.

This would be awesome if this lead to the Langrisser series being brought over the PSN in the west (I quite enjoyed Der Langrisser on the SNES).

Already got the awesome JPSN releases of Langrisser 1&2 and 4&5, might get this too just because I love the series so much
