imageLess than a month after is release, Monster Hunter Diary: Poka Poka Felyne Village broke the half-million mark in Japan and expanded the series audience to female players. Instead of another multiplayer dinosaur hunting game, Capcom made a communication style game where players follow Felynes through their daily lives.

In traditional Monster Hunter fashion, Capcom is following it up with a "G" version. Monster Hunter Diary: Poka Poka Felyne Village G was just announced for PSP. No details were mentioned, not even a release date.

Monster Hunter Diary: Poka Poka Felyne Village was released on August 26. A North American release has not been announced at this time.

I really wanted to play the village alot. I hope someone can at least translate this game. I love almost every aspect of MH franchise. I dunno whoever made the world and setting is truly a talented person. A similar game God Eater, I liked it alot too. In fact just picked up NA version day one. But i like that game more in a video game way. I love the story of GE, fighting system etc. but after i shut the game off its that. But Monster Hunter makes me wanna go buy felyne models and artbook etc. not sure how to explain this it has a weird charm. (I spotted an artbook once when I was in Japan last winter and wow it was so expensive but as I fan, I really regret not getting it…)

    • I’m more attracted to MH than GEs setting too, I love nature more than a post-apocalyptic world. Plus the monsters in MH actually look like something that could have existed.

that’s a pretty good point about monsters that could have existed. Altho GE does have a strong narrative and a very interesting setting and MH doesn’t, for some reason it doesn’t bother me at all and i just feel like i am part of that world as a hunter. I know it also takes for u to like a game for this to have effect but i think capcom did a fantastic job. GE Burst is out and for a P.S. message, is a fantastic game. I don’t see it as an alternative to MH at all.

  • Man, this game makes me wish I were a Japanese schoolgirl.
