Anyone Want To See An Atelier Meruru Trailer?

By Spencer . April 1, 2011 . 12:09am

After recapping the events in Atelier Rorona and Atelier Totori, Gust introduces the third alchemist of Arland. Atelier Meruru is Totori’s protégé even though you don’t see the two characters interact in this trailer.

Did you notice that fort Meruru ran by? In the game, it starts out as this mound of rubble. By using the land cultivation system, Meruru can change transform the dirt into a small castle.

That’s one of the new features in Atelier Meruru: The Alchemist of Arland 3. Gust has the PlayStation 3 game slated for release on June 23 in Japan.

  • The butt scene was REALLY random. Not that I have anything against butts, but it didn’t seem to really fit into the trailer.

Anyway, the environments look real nice. Hope to see some gameplay soon!

Hah it was, it seemed more for the “cute” factor in my opinion though. I remember there was a big long discussion about how the game was sexualizing her in a previous post. Not like she had on a thong though.

      • Yeah, the butt shot seemed more comical than anything to me. Bloomers haven’t been considered sexy for over a hundred years.

  • *twitch* … happiness.

  • Zero_Destiny

I like it!!!!! So want it already. :) Also Gust seems to of done another good job with the music. Sounded great.

  • HarryHodd

The environments and art are beautiful. Animation looks good too.

  • Ereek

The environments still need a bit of work, but the character models are beautiful. It’s amazing how much Gust has improved in the last few years.

    • They really soared past fellow studios like Nippon Ichi in technical proficiency. If they can just get the environments down (they’re at least better than, say, Idea Factory in this regard) they’ll be able to create GORGEOUS games, and until they do we can at least appreciate their solid frame rates and uncommonly high anti-aliasing on consoles.

I mean, considering their size as a studio it’s pretty outstanding.

      • Kai2591

oh man..considering that Gust’s artworks are already so beautiful, if they can implement it in 3D graphics, that would be extremely epic!

And their character model’s are more gorgeous than ever!

    • When you add in the fact that these envoironments grow and change over time I think they’re equally impressive :D

  • No.

    • Is that supposed to be a April Fool joke?

      • No.

But that doesn’t mean I didn’t watch it, nor enjoy it. Whether I did or not? I’d like you to come up with your own answer, whatever it may be.

  • Istillduno

Would be so much more hype for this if Totori even had a release date outside japan. ¬_¬

  • Can’t wait for Totori release outside of Japan… and GUST tease us with A13… jeez, it’s so damn unfair.

  • holyPaladin

I’m fan of Kishida Mel now

  • Love it, love this game. ^-^

  • I’m really excited now! This is something I’m looking forward to dearly!

  • It looks pretty, but then it looks boring too. I hope they’ve done something exciting with the battle system.

    • Guest

      yeah….like …flinging poo

  • runesong

    Do want!!

  • God this game is looking great. GUST has really evolved in terms of visuals. And you just got to love Kishida Mel’s marvelous designs, I can’t wait for his anime this spring.

The day when I can hold all three Atelier games in my hands…..That’ll be the day when I can die happily.

    • Kai2591

lol don’t die yet. More good games to come~

  • Maxwell3000

Any RPG by Gust automatically goes on my radar. Once it comes out, I’ll make my decision

  • PrinceHeir
