ClaDun x2 Will Send PSP Owners To Dank Dungeons This Summer

NIS America is bringing the sequel to ClaDun: This is an RPG stateside. ClaDun x2 adds new classes like the Ranger, which lets you shoot enemies from afar and Saints that come with dual daggers.

Developer System Prisma expanded the customization options. You can create a head and body for custom characters; even draw weapons. Musically gifted players can compose their own background music. NIS America promises multiple dungeon types – ran-geons, new-geons, and new tri-geons too.

The core gameplay, exploring random dungeons for loot, is the same. I suppose that makes ClaDun x2 a more-quel? NIS America will release ClaDun x2 for PSP as a digital download sold on PlayStation Network in August. Whenever PSN comes back online, you can grab a demo from Japan’s PlayStation Store.

  • The real question is, will the Falcom characters be in the NISA version? I can see why that could be a problem.

    •  Hmmm. ;)

    • cj_iwakura

Since XSeed and NIS are bros, I don’t see it being a big deal. I doubt Falcom would mind, or they wouldn’t have licensed Adol to their parent company.

    • Ladius

I hope they can work out a deal with XSeed, after all it would be in their best interest to have Cladun players getting to know Adol, Dogi, Estelle and so on (though I suspect the two fanbases overlap, at least partially).

  • damndamndrum

Oh this is fantastic! I just got CLADUN and am loving the hell out of the game. Love the humor in this series.

  • Ladius

Cladun was great, I’m ready for part 2 :) I also hope they can release both games on UMD like they did with Badman, even if this is probably wishful thinking.

  • Phoenix_Apollo

I do wish they’d release a UMD with both Claduns on it. Like with Badman.

  •  No retail again ;(

    •  Let us give them all of our pre-orders! (Seriously, I love their special editions. If they did an NISA shop release of this with extra goodies, I’d leap on it.)

      • Sadly this will be digital only D:, but i’d wish they could release something cladun related on their NISA shop too T_T.

Ahh i wonder if the music we make can be moved to the computer somehow so we can share/use it for other things xD

  • Great the first one was very adictive XD and this one will be more , nice job NISA

  • LastFootnote

Hmm, I couldn’t really get into the first ClaDun. ZHP was much more my style. Still, it’s nice to see so many people are looking forward to the sequel. I hope it does well.

  • YsyDoesIt

I suck at ClaDun.  Terribly.  But it’s fun!

…I can make my own back-ground music?  Sold.
