When White Knight Chronicles II Arrives, The Online World Will Already Have Players

By Spencer . June 14, 2011 . 4:50pm

wkcaD3 Publisher have White Knight Chronicles II slated for release on August 2nd September in North America. The PlayStation 3 sequel includes a revised version of White Knight Chronicles and White Knight Chronicles II on the same disc. Yes, it’s possible in the English version to skip straight to part II.

Level-5 made online play a key part of the White Knight Chronicles games and when White Knight Chronicles II arrives the game will launch with a community. White Knight Chronicles II is already available in Europe and the North American version connects to the same servers. So, you can get started by playing with friendly PAL gamers, if you like.

While D3 Publisher licensed White Knight Chronicles II from Sony, they currently have no plans to release the PSP prequel, White Knight Chronicles Origins.

I’m pooping for this game. I missed the original somehow, so I cannot wait to buy this.

I’ve never heard that phrase before.  I’ll use it in a sentence also.

      I’m pooping for Skyrim.

Don’t expect anything from the storyline, at least for the first game. One of the worst example of storytelling in recent jrpg history.

That may be just a little biased…

is the d3 version the exact same with scee version? if it is the same one, why there is quite a gap of release time.

the way they have time gap between release make me hoping D3 include japanese voice, even tough at this point looks like the chance really low (-_-)

There are some text differences between the two, but otherwise the localization is based on the SCEE version.

Does this remixed WKC1 include a full set of trophies? I read somewhere it doesn’t have any.

Is the third game so, IF it goes out, i imagine they will wait until after this one is released, but since is a prequel im not 100% sure it will get a localization… By the time the WKC2 hype is over

Glad I held back on buying the 1st one. =)

Yes!! We need more of this cross-region online play! Region locks are silly enough to begin with.

From there, let’s go cross-platform!! Come on, Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft. You guy already share a significant number of games as multi-console titles; just make it cross-console/server-compatible. This is a neat opportunity for “innovation” you guys speak of so much. Please? For user convenience?

    Listen..

The ORIGINAL E3 or TGS trailer for the 1st game had some really epic sword and shield gameplay (think Demon’s Souls) and smart looking AI  but then the final product was totally dumbed down. Did they fix this for the sequel? That’s all I ask.

still kinda wish Level 5 did something different instead of focusing most of it’s work on WKC.

might give this a chance though ^^
