Infinite Souls Battle System Details, Bring 16 Characters To Battle

In addition to The Witch and the Hundred Cavalrymen, Disgaea series artist Takehito Harada is working on Overwhelming Game Infinite Souls for Idea Factory.

 

This PlayStation 3 action RPG has massive parties with 16 characters, but Infinite Souls is not a strategy RPG. Only four characters fight at a time. You can swap out active members during battles.

 

Potential characters in your party include Elca, a narcissist gentleman, Ares, a devil king idol, and Marina, a grand wizard. Players can also create generic characters to supplement their party. These characters can be one of ten classes. You can choose a character’s face, hairstyle, clothes, and customize their voice.

 

Dengeki PlayStation reports Infinite Souls has a homage to the Super Robot Taisen series. The game has a fortress battle where you have to defend G Castle and the layout for this mode is said to look like Banpresto’s strategy games.

 

Infinite Souls comes out in Japan on March 22.
