Capture Objects In Your Camera In Vita/PS3 Platformer, Snapshot

By Ishaan . May 29, 2012 . 4:00pm

Here’s the gist of Snapshot, an upcoming PlayStation Network game for the Vita and PlayStation 3: You play as Pic, a robot that carries camera that can remove and hold objects from the world when he snaps a picture of them. You can then toss the pictures back into the world, which makes the objects come back out. Here’s a trailer showing the concept at work:

As you play Snapshot, the camera will gain more functions such as taking photographs of light and being able to interact with physics. For example, you may be able to capture an object’s momentum, or use it to hurl projectiles back at enemies.

Snapshot is being developed by indie developer Retro Affect. It’s slated for release this fall and will have cross-platform saving ability on Vita and PlayStation 3.
