Hatsune Miku Project Diva Extend Goes HD In These Screens

By Ishaan . May 31, 2012 . 12:31pm

While Hatsune Miku Project Diva f is headed to the PlayStation 3 next year, prior to that, Sega will release Hatsune Miku Project Diva: Dreamy Theater Extend. As the name suggests, this PlayStation 3 app requires Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Extend on the PSP, and allows you to play that game in HD.

Dreamy Theater Extend will also support stereoscopic 3D and you’ll be able to access your Project Diva Extend save data, modules and edit data as well. Dreamy Theater Extend is scheduled for release this summer as a download. You can find screenshots below.

Ahh, this game looks so gorgeous in HD! I want to see more of HD Luka!

Also, Kaito and Meiko look awesome in their new Tsugai Kogarashi outfits!

If they start making these games for Vita, I really hope we start seeing them get Western releases.

Considering how madly popular (vocaliod& related material) is I’m surprised it doesn’t have more of a Western release

Ah, Dreamy Theater looks beautiful, really, but I honestly feel like Project Diva is best played on a portable. I don’t know, I’ve played Dreamy Theater before, and I felt like I wasn’t as immersed, or it was a bit underwhelming. I’ll give it another try, though!

I know exactly how you feel! That’s why I’m looking forward to the Vita release  ;)

  • Good choice of main attraction screenshot. That song and outfit are amazing — easily my favorites in Extend. (:

Luka Megurine is really Super Sonico in disguise.  She’s just waitin’ for her attack on Miku Hatsune… o.o

    • Dokurochan

      Sonico’s already made a move on Miku’s Romeo…

      • Theofratus ‘Geese’ Lester

I just got her album not too long ago.  Wish it was the legit CD, but mostly downloaded it, along with the rest of the other albums.

    • rebecasunao

Luka’s design is way more creative and non-pandering…

      • Kai2591

        Damn straight.

  • Estellise

I’ve always wanted to play this games, I wish they’d release them for us western fans of Vocaloids. D: They all look amazing in HD; especially Luka <3

All of the Project Diva games are available on Region free consoles, so I don’t see the problem. All the menus have pictures next to them, etc. It’s as if the game was made to be enjoyable by illiterate people, regardless of if that language is English or Japanese.

      • Still, nothing beats official english ver.

        • ANNONNY

What? There’s no story or anything, it’s just button pushes and songs.

Really feel the urge to read about the items for diva mode or the 2-4 lines of text elsewhere besides menus?

  • Extend was the weakest entry in the Project Diva games in terms of song selection but the meanest of them when it came to difficulty. I’ll save my “HD money” for the Project Diva f PS3 release.
