God of War: Ascension Singleplayer Looks… Like God of War

By Ishaan . June 5, 2012 . 8:35am

Sony Santa Monica first demoed God of War: Ascension to the public in April, shortly after its reveal, which is where we got to see one of the game’s new multiplayer modes that sees two teams of players fighting over the right to kill a cyclops. Last night at their E3 media briefing, however, Sony showed off a portion of the game’s singleplayer campaign. Take a look at the presentation below:

God of War: Ascension will be released on March 12th, 2013.

Looked more like eviscerated elephant brains to me. Towards the end anyway.

    So yeah, God of War.

For a good 8 minutes there I thought I was looking at an extra downloadable scenario for God of War 3

    > title write GOD OF WAR
    > video shows some unknown game called “Last of Us”

    Huh?

And I wouldn’t have it any other way. In my book, more GoW is always good. =3

Not much new here save the weird time-stop-restore power, which is at least integrated into more than just a clumsy puzzle, and throwing enemies around looks kinda fun… but yeah, I think the multiplayer will be necessary here. Can’t see much else that other GoW games haven’t already offered me beyond that.

Except possible a Kratos that is somewhat less of a dick. He actually pushed that one guy out of the way of a spear! It’s like I hardly even recognize him anymore!
