Rearranged Persona Music Comes With Persona 4: Arena Pre-Orders

By Spencer . June 11, 2012 . 1:48pm

P4FPOPS3Atlus is bundling a bonus item with Persona 4: Arena. Reserve the fighting game and you’ll get a Persona 4 Arena arranged soundtrack too. This CD has music rearrangements from Persona 4: Arena’s score. Shoji Meguro reprised his role as Persona’s composter and made the stage themes for the game.

Persona 4: Arena comes out for PlayStation3 and Xbox 360 on August 7.

How much waste does Atlus make, that Meguro has to pull double duty as composer and whatever the heck a ‘composter’ is?

  • AzureNova

I love you ATLUS and Shoji Meguro! =^_^=

  • RmanX1000

This game is swag. And the pre order is cool i guess :P

  • Chow

Very unspecific about where this is being honored.  Does this mean it’ll be part of all the first-run prints of the game?

    • RmanX1000

Atlus said on facebook that GameStop, EB Games, and Amazon are definately part of it. Posibly more will be revealed later on.

      • revenent hell

ah I  just shot amazon an email about them needing to update their info lol only AFTER doing so did it accur to me that they might not be part of it

    • Aoshi00

Wonder how rare this would be though.. Catherine or KOF13 still have the artbook and soundtrack from Amazon for a long time, it’s bundled together w/ cardboard and plastic wrapper..  I didn’t really plan on getting this on day 1 unless there’s some promo credit (w/ so many new releases like Lollipop Chainsaw, Robotics;Notes, Last Story, Gravity Rush, etc), but now I don’t wanna miss out on the rearranged soundtrack..

  • DongT

oh atlus you’re so good to me~

  • Herok ♞

Wow didn’t think they would give me a reason to preorder.

  • joe ling

Does anyone know where I could here the soundtrack? Need to here it first.

    • RmanX1000

      Youtube is your friend

  • PizzicatoSpirit

Cool, though I was still going to pre order it whether there was a bonus item or not.

  • Code

Do want >A<; I've really enjoyed P4A's OST from what I've heard so far.

  • Sheimi12

Guys… I have to come clean, I have never played a persona game. a very sad thing indeed…

Regardless I came here to post that I absolutely adore that art style! every time I see a persona thumbnail I can’t help but love it!

Who is the artist? I could google it but I might as well ask now that I am typing

    • pothier.adrien

      Soejima Shinegori ^^

    • Sevyne

Couldn’t be a better time to start than now! Persona is all in your face these days.

    • TheFoolArcana

Its probably better to play the game before looking up any artwork, unless you want to spoil yourself that is. :P

  • dahuuuundge

bonus PHYSICAL soundtrack CD with preorder instead of store preorder exclusive digital on disc DLC? I love you Atlus

    • http://www.myspace.com/Juan_Rod bluejuan85

As far as I know when Atlus has added Soundtracks they have always been Physical discs. I still remember the Strange Journey fiasco where someone added the songs on data discs instead of CDs lol at least I got a replacement for it. Anyways any idea if the CD will include the game’s music?

    composter

    • revenent hell

Composer X Imposter. First thought I had when I read it

  • Shadowman

WOOOOO!!!! Thank you Atlus me and my wallet are ready for this game.

OMG, the music from Arena is truly an masterpiece. Especially dat remix of Reach Out To The Truth and Teddie Casino music.

  • XYZ_JolteonZ980

Kind of half and half on it, on one hand glad its coming with a CD…on the other hand the tweet and post from Atlus seemed to indicate just select songs :( so I guess not every song, which is :(

    • Historiata

Unless it’s a rarity like Persona PSP or Blazblue: Calamity Trigger Limited ed, it never is! Bonuses are bonuses. Otherwise, there’d be no money left for the actual OST sales!

      • XYZ_JolteonZ980

OSTs which Atlus doesnt sell, or for that matter arent sold in the US?

        • Historiata

Quit whining and just import them.

  • revenent hell

Can I just say this is the first fighting game ive been legit hyped for in a super long time.

“Shoji Meguro reprised his role as Persona’s composter and made the stage themes for the game.”
Isn’t Daisuke Ishiwatari (of Guilty Gear / BlazBlue musical fame) working with Meguro on the P4A soundtrack?

Anyway, was going to preorder this regardless. I love that we’re getting the delicious soundtrack as well, to boot. :D

    • cj_iwakura

      Nope, it’s all Meguro.

  • TANKTANKTANK

I would have loved a collaboration between Shoji and Daisuke.
    Shame it didn’t happen.

    • cj_iwakura

The world could not handle that much rock.

  • Solomon_Kano

Sweeeet. I was planning on pre-ordering with no bonus at all, so this is just lovely.

  • Roberto Armando Iraheta

THIS JUST IN!!! ATLUS LOVES PACKAGED BONUS MATERIALS!!!

I love you forever Atlus. Never change.

  • Misty Dawson

YES! I was hoping this was coming!

  • Zonic505

Hoping to hear where I can get the CD & what’ll be on it soon, because I really want to pre-order this.

  • Corey Letcher

already pre-ordered without expectation of a bonus and get a bonus, cant complain about that.

  • http://ikari-the-angry-angel.tumblr.com/ The Angry, Random One

=w= Sweet. I had some of the P4A OST and I like it so far. *pre-orders it with Bonus*

  • Hinataharem

I had already preordered this before this news. Unexpected, but..

    Yay! I win!

  • Historiata

What the- You don’t mean to say all those crazy arrangements came out of Shoji Meguro ALONE, do you?

->http://p-atlus.jp/p4u/ (and the rest of the bgm)

EDIT: And actually, the theme on the site wasn’t a remix, right? Being technical, but is it only remixes, or are new compositions included as well? Although I suppose that if that were clear, we would already know the tracklist by now…

  • Setsu Oh

    HYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH !!!!
    SHOJI MEGUROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO REMIXESSSSSSSS!!

    nerdgasm!
