Wow, Trails Of Nayuta Has Crazy Boss Battles

By Spencer . June 15, 2012 . 1:30am

image Jdk Band, Falcom’s in-house sound team, recorded a tour through Trails of Nayuta. While the game has Trails in the title, it’s not a sequel to the Legend of the Heroes series. Trails of Nayuta looks and appears to play more like Ys Seven since it’s an action game where you control two characters.

Falcom created giant bosses for Trails of Nayuta like one enemy that shakes the ground you’re standing on. Looks like a neat fight, but before you get to him there’s a forest with pink trees to cut through.

Glad they’re making good use of the Ys Seven engine. Because Ys Seven and Ys Vs Sora no Kiseki were super fun.

I don’t think this is the Ys Seven engine, actually. The more I see it, the more convinced I am that they’re reusing the engine from their PC game “Zwei II.” It’s the same *sort* of game… but feels very different. Which is probably a plus, as it should help keep things fresh!
