Warriors Orochi 3 Special Trailer Gives A Glimpse Of Rachel’s Moves

By Ishaan . June 20, 2012 . 8:30am

Warriors Orochi 3 already has Tecmo characters like Ryu and Ayane guest-starring as part of the game’s playable roster, but for the PSP port, Tecmo Koei added Ninja Gaiden’s Rachel in as well. A new trailer for the game gives a first look at how she plays, along with other characters as well:

Warriors Orochi 3 Special also has local co-op play. Tecmo Koei will release the game on July 19th in Japan.

  • Koei needs to patch those two into the console versions. I kinda don’t like playing WO/DW/SW on handhelds. >.> I just played a little bit of it at my friend’s house last night (lol was up till 4am playing it)… It’s kinda fun.

Unless you’re big on launching attacks and air juggling as well as into some sidestep-canceling into rushing attack-launcher (C2). I suggest avoiding Tech types altogether.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the game, kinda.

      • lol, I went and bought it for the 360 the next day~ Sucks that I really don’t have anyone on my friends list to play it with. XD But I’m still only at the beginning of the story, just unlocked chapter 2.

They need to bring this over and port it onto the Vita considering how dead the PSP is in the US

    • Testsubject909

Well, playing a PSP game that’s available digitally on the Vita is pretty damn easy… That said, I doubt they’ll port it and upgrade it for the Vita.

Wow people. Have I just saw Ryu Hayabusa at 0:53? (in the bottom-right trio?) I wasn’t aware before that he was making cameos in Warriors’ games! I guess I don’t need anything but my current avatar to show how I like that. xD Oh, Rachel is looking good too!

    • Testsubject909

Yeah, he’s in the game, he’s a Power type, capable of ignoring most regular attacks without getting stunned, enabling him to carry out his offensive with little worries, he’s very fast and his Izuna Drop is pretty good for juggling officers and taking care of a small amount of troops due to the AOE impact on the ground (as well as doing some minor air juggling due to the reach of his sword striking multiple foes).

      • Setsuryuu

Oh! I’ve played Warriors Orochi 2 (only the 2) so I know what that is. I like Speed Types more, but the Technique were the ones I always avoided using, so Power it’s good enough. xP Damn, now I have to find a way of playing it somehow…

        • Testsubject909

          Ayane is a speed type.
edit: And her attack speed is crazy fast.

  • Testsubject909

They… Really should’ve made this for the PSV.

After playing Dynasty Warriors Next… I don’t think I’ll be able to return to a PSP Warriors game.

Plus with the better processing power, there would’ve been less lag, framerate issues, more enemies spawned, probably ease them up to have the AI more active, crisper graphics, plus the second analog… Camera control in any action game like this is just an absolute must…
