    GOOTECKS! But really I suggest watching this you learn some really cool mechanics and factors that are really cool. (Some even unique to this game compared to most fighting games)

    • FitzpatrickPhillips

      Goo and Mike! Didn’t expect them to show up and support a non-capcom fighter this much.

      • Zeik56

        To be honest, I don’t expect to see a lot of real support from these guys for this game. This seems like it’s just a collaboration between Cross Counter and Atlus to promote the game before release. I’ll be shocked if they actually end up playing it after release, although it would be great if they did.

  • Dantis

    This still feels less Persona and more Arc to me.

    It looks good, but it’s definitely more spinoff than sequel.

    • FitzpatrickPhillips

      But it’s officially canon so…

      • Dantis

         That really doesn’t mean anything.

        • FitzpatrickPhillips

          Whats the proper term for a game/book/movie that’s canon to the previous entry, storywise, and takes place sometime after it then?

          • Dantis

            It’s a sequel chronologically, but that’s all. It doesn’t follow the same gameplay, art, style or anything.

          • FitzpatrickPhillips

            Gameplay does not need to be the exact same thing to be a sequel. And yes it follows pretty much everything the original did except for the gameplay. It’s got the same art style, and even the same music composer.

          • Dantis

             @facebook-1786364591:disqus It’s not the same art style, silly (Except in the story mode where it reuses P4 assets, obviously).

    • AuraGuyChris

      It’s both things, though. Like the Kingdom Heart games, for example.

    • Zeik56

      It’s an Arc developed fighter, not an Atlus RPG, there’s really no way it could have turned out differently. I don’t see anything wrong with that though, it’s still plenty Persona.

      • Dantis

        I agree that it couldn’t really have turned out any other way. Not within the limits of what Arc constrains themselves to, at least. They have a style and they stick to it.

        I don’t really agree that it’s plenty Persona, buuuut I feel like we may have had this conversation before. Just once or twice.

        • Zeik56

           Ha, I should have realized that was you.

  • pho_Enix

    I’m surprised that Cross Counter are covering P4A. Oh well, everything is better with more Gootecks.

    I was really not going to get this game becuz i judged it on being another Blazblue style game….not that BB is bad. The mechanics they showed me today proved me wrong…Atlus and Arc Systems- you can have my wallet. I dont want it anymore.

    • Code

      Yeahh when it comes down to it people say it’s more akin to Guilty Gear then it is Blazblue. But it’s still kind of its own beast >w<;

      • Mike Pureka

         It’s not much like GG at all.  Not even really sure why you’d say that.

        • Code

          The way all-out attacks are nearly identical to Dusts, it’s different types of refillable bursts as well as the ability to fully charge your gauge off bursts, 1-more’s are closer to cancels in GG over BB. Plus the biggest one look at the pacing/hitstun on moves and the combo strings, the game has way more in common with Guilty Gear then it does Blazblue.

          Obviously on a face level it doesn’t have that much in common Guilty Gear, and it won’t be played like Guilty Gear; but on a mechanical level it has more in common with it then Blazblue, but like I said, it is its own game o3o;

        • xAKUM3TSUx

          actually some of the mechanics are more like gg than bb. Even if just a little.

  • Code

    Hooray Gootecks >w<~!! This could be a really helpful video for a few people I know who are half interested; but more into Capcom fighters than ASW fighters owo; Pretty good run down, plus Gootecks always is fun to listen to. I'd be really impressed if Gootecks and Mike Ross did a show or two on it owo;; But I don't really see that happening. But really good move on Atlus/ASW to get Gootecks in on this to help show the game off to a new crowd ow<;

    “There you go GOOTECKS!”
