A Certain Magical And Scientific Ensemble Will Certainly Come Out In February

imageBanpresto is creating a crossover game that brings together A Certain Magical Index and A Certain Scientific Railgun called A Certain Magical and Scientific Ensemble. Dengeki PlayStation announced it will come out in Japan on February 21.

A Certain Magical and Scientific Ensemble is an adventure game, so it probably won’t be import friendly. Fans might want to give the PSP game a look because the 9,980 yen ($127) limited edition has four chibi figures in the package. A standalone game costs 6,280 yen ($80) in stores or on PlayStation Network.

Damn, I wish for a localization. Doesn’t matter if it’s magical or scientific.

  • Muffum

Well, it’ll at least fit the series better than the fighting game Index had. Half of that game’s story mode was a visual novel anyway, in large part due to a lack of certain characters.

  • I was waiting for something like this to happen. Eager to see how it pans out.

    I’LL TAKE 20

Getting this just for the Touma and Misaka moments.

    • komiko12

Hmm. It’s quite saddening that Misaka gets more spotlight than Index herself.
Misaka plays a large part in Toaru Majutsu no Index, then she has her very own Toaru Kagaku no Railgun

I guess it’s all the fight scenes they have to do. Who would you want to have your back in a fight? A walking library, or the living particle beam that also shoots lightning and can control magnetism?

The answer would be Accelerator, but he’s not an option.

        • Sardorim

Accelerator works alone… Ish. Despite saying that he hates Misaka because she was cloned and he killed said clones he can’t help but attract Loli Misaka and Teenage Misaka into his growing harem. Perhaps Accelerator and Touma should see who can end up with the largest Misaka harem?

        • Guanhui Boo

Depends; both Mikoto and Accelerator are borderline clueless when dealing with Magic. In that case having a walking cheat code that knows all of your enemies’ strength and weakness, and can even manipulate some spells is better than pure firepower.

As the saying goes, knowledge is power.

          • Daru Titor

Accelerator’s not clueless, having actually used it.
Mikoto at least knows about it.

        • Göran Isacson

Accelerator not an option? I think someone is underestimating Toumas harem-protagonist powers…

Then again, that might just be me going by all that fan-art I’ve seen of Accelerator as a girl.

      • Sardorim

Eh, I never liked Index she’s so annoying and is a loli which makes things awkward. Misaka though is a badass tomboy that, out of all the girls, has the most hilarious and touching moments with Touma. That and she can take care of herself and doesn’t always need to rely on Touma to fight her battles.

  • Still waiting for the Railgun VN in english/chinese…..

All hail Touma x Misaka!!! (And more harem comedy + religious stuff + magic/science)

    • Mr_SP

      English/Chinese Railgun VN? …Is that a thing?

      • Well… I once saw a Oreimo VN in chinese on Utube….. (Still dunno is it official or fan sub but most likely later)

As 4 Railgun VN…. Chinese maybe (haven checked yet), English Nah.
