    *Kamen Riders comes to USA*
People: Eww, this is a ripoff of Power Rangers! *Rages*

    I can see that happening..

    • Even though Saban brought it over as ‘Masked Rider’ but failed soooo miserably ?

    • Even if it actually happens, that mindset can only last so long between the already-established Tokusatsu fanbase, easily available fansubbed series and English-speaking Tokusatsu news sites.

      • Exkaiser

Ah, but most people don’t know about these things, and the fanbase is really fairly small. Information can only disseminate so far.

The lay man will still see a ripoff of Power Rangers.

        • [Shrug] Some fans aren’t gonna shut up about it though…

    • Barzh

Of course it’d happen even though Kamen Rider was around before Super Sentai.

    • ShawnOtakuSomething

it already happen  *Kamen Riders Dragon knight*

    • Grenalie

You can’t expect most people in the US to know about toku, just inform them on how they are wrong if it ever comes up.

Kamen Rider HAS come to the USA. Twice. And as far as they are concerned, it IS a “ripoff” of Power Rangers. Power Rangers came before Masked Rider/Kamen Rider Dragon Knight.

They don’t know, nor do they NEED to know, that the source material came before it. It’s irrelevant. They aren’t watching the source, they are watching the new version.

You *rage* because you are the worst kind of fan. Snobbish and elitist and pretentious. I love Kamen Rider. Have for years and years now. But I’m FULLY aware if people see it they will assume a Power Rangers connection because it is PRACTICALLY the same. Rubber suits, men in costumes. Power Rangers is what they know, and probably all that they know to begin to comprehend what they see. I certainly don’t *rage* at them for making the logical jump.

You do, so you can feel like you are better than them. Pathetic.

      • Leon_Tekashi

I hope you realized that I was saying what some people will say if they saw another Kamen Rider get localized to the USA. (Has just learned some games already did get localized.)

        • me

What I was addressing wasn’t what “some people will say if they saw another Kamen Rider.”

I was addressing your sad little *rages* remark. I was addressing that you *rage* at people who confuse Kamen Rider and Power Rangers.

I was saying that some people are allowed to say that about Kamen Rider, and that you *raging* about it is pathetic, and makes you the worst kind of fan.

          • Xaxal_Ravenguard

Wow, talk about looking into things a little too much. Seriously, just chill.

          • M’iau M’iaut

Please take the time to read and understand the poster before posting. It was quite clear what was being said, and even after a second explanation, you continue to ridicule.

Been wondering why they not dare to jump onto PS3?

    • Because Tokusatsu games are not a hight-budget priority for Bandai; at least that’s how Climax Heroes series has been, and other Super Sentai games also point to that. After all, as far as Toei and Bandai are concerned, their Tokusatsu series are kids’ TV series with toy advertisements, and video games of them are pretty much just tie-ins for them – barring a few exceptions like All Kamen Rider series.

In this case though, I am curious about what sort of changes they’ll bring to Super Climax Heroes. On the other hand… my prior experience is saying that this may turn out to be “Kamen Rider Climax Heroes: Wizard” with a different name. We’ll see.

      • Nitraion

Yeah i know the reason, KR series is strong with toys alone….
I know they don’t want spend highly budget game only for KR alone….but i just want they dare to make ps3 game i think it will be cool and all example ask arc system or CC2 that will be so cool no?…

        • If Bandai ever decided to make a well-balanced Kamen Rider fighting game for PS3, I wouldn’t object. (Might have to sell half my body to import a PS3 Blu-Ray from Japan, but that’s besides the point.)

          • Nitraion

Yup that’s my point…. i mean i know KR game is not the franchise main sources but it don’t hurt to make decent KR or sentai game and i think ps one sentai (i played ninpu sentai if i am not mistaken) already decent even in my memories lol

          • with half of your body horizontal, how can you play games with 1 hand. With halp your body vertically, how do you suppose to walk to school or to work?:P

        • me

There are less than 7 million PS3s in Japan. There are 15 million+ PSPs and 13 million Wii.

Makes sense for them to release the game on the most-owned consoles. Especially since the game is already made and working and all they need to do is tweak it a little bit each year.

Making a new game for the PS3 will cost a LOT more, to a smaller audience, and one which, frankly, isn’t going to be mostly PS3 owners. The older, serious gamer crowd. Kids have Wiis, kids want Kamen Rider. They are the target audience. Excluding the millions of them to make a game for the PS3 is a ridiculous notion.

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

Wii and PSP? Hmm this is kinda strange combi again lol.^_^
